Interior Design: RENEW Women’s Conference 2025

This year, RENEW unfolded with an unexpected difference. In the midst of our gathering, a power outage silenced the lights, drawing us into darkness. What seemed at first like loss became invitation—an opening for imagination, for creativity, for finding new ways to gather and to see. And it was there, within the shadows, that we caught sight of the true light.
Scripture reminds us that God Himself is that light—the radiant presence that no darkness can overcome. As John writes, “God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5). And Christ declares, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12). Even as the room dimmed, His light within us shone more brightly, reminding us that nothing can extinguish His truth, His holiness, His presence. It was in that radiance that the theme of Interior Design came alive—woven through the inspiring words of our guest speaker, Karen Ferry; the beautiful music led by Maree Worker and her team; the warm confidence of our host, “B”; the joy and laughter of the teen girls’ program; and the shared delight of food prepared on the barbecue.
In this space, grace overflowed. The women did not shrink back but shone with generosity, one tenderly noting, “We were like family.” In that moment, it was clear: God, in His graciousness, was teaching us how to extend grace even when life feels heavy.
Scripture shows us that grace is not born of chaos, but of God’s presence within it—from the formless void at creation to the struggles we face today. He does not leave us in confusion; He enters it, bringing order, comfort, and redeeming light.
RENEW 2025 will long be remembered—not only for its difference, but for the joy shared and the unmistakable hand of God at work.
