Celebrate 100 years of music and memories at the Advent Brass 100 Year Charity Concert — a powerful, feel-good musical journey through time, live at Hamer Hall.
From hits like 'I Got Rhythm' to 'All You Need Is Love', this joyful, fast-paced performance will span genres and generations — designed to entertain, inspire and honour an extraordinary musical heritage.
In a spectacular cross-generational showcase, legendary jazz virtuoso James Morrison joins the vibrant Advent Brass Band, while Romney King, aged 100, performs live on Grand Piano. Vocalists Helena McKee, Walter Saluni and Tim Jaques will bring a range of popular genres — past and present — to life.
Expect rich brass harmonies, high-energy swing and jazz from the 1930s and ’40s, classical and gospel highlights, Beatles covers, Christmas favourites and timeless classics like 'Singin’ in the Rain'.
The concert will also feature rare archival footage, historic interviews, and photos displayed throughout the evening on the Hamer Hall screen, in a heartfelt tribute to the band's enduring story.
Reynold W.B. Gilson OAM will conduct the band in honour of three generations of Gilson family leadership, marking a century of dedication to music and community.
All proceeds support ADRA.
